I have always been unbelievably opposed to internet dating sites, so I cannot believe I am actually doing this. I know a couple of people whom I respect who have been successful with online dating, so I thought I would swallow my pride and try it out. Let me see. How would my friends describe me? 34 yrs old, tall with short blonde hair, freckles, funny and sarcastic with a fairly self-deprecating sense of humor, honest, talkative, a bit clumsy, energetic, not much of an alcohol drinker, loyal, smart, communicative, thoughtful, insightful, always trying to lose 5 lbs. I love to be active, really enjoy hiking and football (Go Saints! Go Georgia Dawgs!), and I completed my first marathon in 2002 (yes all 26.2 miles of it). It was totally out of character. I'm more of an occasional exerciser, so I definitely don't fit the typical "runner" stereotype and don't consider myself a "runner." I am an avid reader of true crime and psychological thrillers. (If I were not such a wimp, I would love to be a forensic psychologist. ) I enjoy theater and music and have acted and sung on both an amateur and professional level for the past 18 years. In recent years, I left the corporate world in search of a more satisfying career. I was a corporate trainer specializing in sales and management training; however, I began teaching high school Special Education in 2001. Originally from Louisiana... I will always consider that home, and family is very important to me. I just moved back to Mandeville after 5 years in Atlanta and look forward to getting back in touch with my roots and re-exploring all South Louisiana has to offer. I am not a big fan of the whole dating scene and consider it a necessary evil. I feel like a total dork writing about myself, so I will just leave it at that.

Smart, preppy, conservative, witty/sarcastic/dry sense of humor, emotionally available, athletic, well-educated, open minded, good communicator, honest, kind, thoughtful, good morals and values, committed to his family, has room in his daily life for a mate, not a big drinker or partier, sincere, talkative, driven, not a wimp, does not take himself too seriously, has the ability to look at life on a level deeper than the superficial surface, not allergic to cats, considerate, caring, not easily intimidated, not afraid of commitment, ready to settle down and share his life... of course I could go on and on, but I will spare you all the gory details. One more thing... if you're just "looking for a good time" or are looking to date a barbie doll, then don't bother. |
