Tom and I met one night while we were online checking our messages. The profile picture I had used was one I had taken with my cowboy hat on, and he thought I resembled Terry Clark (a female country singer that just happens to be one of his favorites). He was living in Detroit at the time we first started talking, so he sent me a message, and we started up a conversation, which led to phone calls, and eventually, him coming to visit me in Minnesota. We found we had tons in common and had a lot of the same ways of thinking, even though there was a big age difference.
Through your site, we had a chance to get to know one another without the pressures of meeting a total stranger and making judgments about the physical person. I think you do a great job of attracting very quality people.
Well, long story short& after a few flights back and forth, each making it harder to leave one another, Tom found a job in Minnesota and moved closer to me.
After a month of being in the same place, he met my whole family when I took him home with me to spend a week. He lived through that and still was interested, so we moved on from there and got engaged.
We planned a small ceremony in Las Vegas, with just our parents and a few other family members, and the rest is history. It was a rather fast, whirlwind romance, but after looking for the right man for 38 years, I knew when we first met that we were meant to be together.
After several months of being married now, I don't regret a moment of it, and I'll always be thankful that your site was there to help me find my soul mate.
